Bnei Israel

The Bnei Israel programme works with Jewish orphans, low income Jewish families and children living in the Former Soviet Union. Our mission is to create new and innovative programmes that will directly affect the outcome of these individuals’ lives. Our programmes are unique and centred around the theory that in order to help children and families in need, you must provide services that focus on the physical, emotional, social and environmental balance of that person.

Tikva Orphans Programme

49:22TRUST operates and manages the rehabilitative services for 300 Jewish children at Tikva Orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine. Our programme is written and managed by our group of renowned psychologists, located in Washington, DC who specialise in treating Reactive Attachment Disorder in Eastern European orphans. We utilise cutting edge brain science coupled with therapeutic treatment to help these children form healthy connections in their lives. Not only do we work with the children, but we also train the entire orphanage staff to communicate with the orphans. This is essential in the formation and reconnection of healthy brain activity.

Na’aleh Prep Programme

The Na’aleh programme sends Jewish children to Israel for 3 years to attend high school. Because underprivileged Jewish children and orphans do not have the skills to enter the Na’aleh Programme, in partnership with the Jewish Agency for Israel 49:22TRUST created the Na’aleh Prep Programme. The Prep programme, prepares these children to pass the exams, which are required to enter Na’aleh. With programmes in Kiev and Vinnitsa, Ukraine, 86% of our children go on to study in Israel. After completing the programme, 95% end up making Aliyah.

Orphans Programme

The Bnei Israel Orphans Programme locates and supports Jewish orphans living in the Former Soviet Union. The children live in privately run Jewish orphanages, where they will begin the healing process from their horrific pasts. The orphanages provide the stability and care that these children so desperately need in their young lives. Because of the pain and suffering that these children have endured, the programme provides individual psychological services to help them overcome their traumatic pasts.
